Media commentator Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first starring role on television. I’ve liked other things Colman has done, but this is a waste of time.
He’s not that kind of main character
Some really questionable and predictable script choices, and, I’m sorry, not great acting overall. And poor Colman just doesn’t fit in here. It reminded me of Tyler Perry trying to play Alex Cross.
Just not believable
As the series dragged on and scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plot points to each other (why aren’t we SHOWN?), it was really hard to stay awake. Watching Colman run was painful. It always makes me laugh when non-athletic actors get the chance to play action roles.
Not everyone can be an action star
(He wasn’t good at acting in Fear the Walking Dead, and he’s not here either.) It always creeps me out and smacks of a vanity project. His mouth is open in every scene as he “thinks” (I think he’s uncomfortable and worried about playing a “straight” role). Let’s move on to the next one. Skip this.
