Chronology
Avril, a young lawyer specializing in animal defense, goes to great lengths to save her client, a repeat-offender dog, from capital punishment. This dog helps Avril accept her own human complexity.. During development, Laetitia Dosch with Justine Triet, who told her she was making Anatomija pada (2023), a movie about a trial involving a dog and a visually impaired person, with a female lead . The similarities almost led Dosch to drop the project.
