The show moves the setting to the present day. Lashana Lynch is not a lead actress, in fact I’ve seen much better acting in local amateur theatre.
Redmayne and co
It’s a real shame because she’s not at all convincing in her role. turn in strong performances, but Lynch’s weak central performance ruins the show for me.

I also really wish they hadn’t dragged out the series: there are a lot of filler scenes and plot lines that they don’t feel are necessary or particularly relevant to the overall plot. I really hope the show picks up with more episodes, but I don’t think it does enough to redeem itself.
